This 1991 Ron Holland design underwent a complete refit that included replacement of the seven major systems. Further enhancements included custom metal flake paint, doubling the seating capacity of the existing cockpit and building a hard top to encompass it all. This was an exciting complete “transformational” refit project, led by an experienced team, Persak & Wurmfeld, an engineering and naval architect company, who was intrinsically involved in the 286’ Derecktor “CAKEWALK”, launched in 2010.

Ares Custom Yachts, project management and refit specialists recently completed the transformation of the 105’ Windship Motorsailer “CHARDONNAY” into “ MINISKIRT” which has been nominated as a finalist in the 2011 International Super Yacht Society “Refit of the Year” award, and was also featured in the May 2011 issue of Showboats International.

With dedicated skilled craftsmen, including mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, interior refinishing, electrical, metal work and painting, Ares Custom Yachts has transformed dozens of yachts, including a 120’ Broward Raised Pilothouse into a 135’ Tri-Deck Mega Yacht.

Ares Custom Yachts combines style, comfort and beauty to create a floating work of art.

Setting a notable trend in design in her size range, the Ares 135’ places tender and jet skis on a forward well deck, leaving the remaining exterior decks unhindered for entertaining and relaxation. Each of the three decks of ARES 135’ provides a different atmosphere. An adjoining forward coach house seating area is provided for sunbathing. The sky lounge deck has a sophisticated air, a full beam exterior for al-fresco dining and socializing, and is equipped with a 37” drop down plasma TV. The unobstructed sundeck affords total privacy, and features a large Jacuzzi, a fully appointed bar, and a grill station. She’s “Classic Splendor” with 21st century standards. The use of three distinct veneers, Sapeli, Anigre and Ebony in semi and high-gloss finishes projects an ambiance both rich and warm. Distinct fabrics enhance the wood tones throughout the vessel and accent the meticulously chosen natural stones. A classic look with modern features was the client’s request for this restoration project. The owner’s goal was attained by returning D’Natalin to her original splendor and completely modernizing her twenty five year old system. Read More

An extensive refit completed in 2004 included modifying the bottom of the hull to increase speed and reduce draft, which also significantly reduced fuel consumption.

The exterior profile was enhanced by the addition of the flybridge deck extension, which allowed for a large covered settee space at the flybridge level and provided covered overhead space for the main deck.

A crow’s nest guest seating area was added to the helm station. This modification allowed for space to be provided for a retractable sunshade over the new flybridge settee.

To enhance the look, complete fairings, a new paint job and a completely refurbished interior were also done.
